Challenge and Ask:

Build a hand-built prototype of a device that connects people to mental health resources.

Hope Haven, a reconstructed ATM that is meant to be placed in public places like parks, libraries, malls, offices, middle schools, high schools, and college campuses. It is aimed to be the first step people can take to gain control of their emotions and get connected to the right resources that can help improve their situation.

The walkthrough below provides an example of how this machine would operate on a college campus for a student interested in sports.

My partner in creating this project was football player, Trikweze Bridges, and we featured him as the avatar/mentor for this prototype’s walkthrough.
